Do the terminals support dual wiring (double in/out)? What is the max thickness of the copper busbar supported?

Yes, our DC MCBs feature reinforced box-type terminals supporting dual wiring. The standard port supports up to 10mm² cables. If using copper busbars, the max supported thickness is 2mm-3mm. The size of cables for wiring terminals varies by product and corresponding standards. Please refer to the instruction manual and product catalog for details.

What wiring options are available?

Suntree DC MCB adopts standard 35mm DIN rail mounting, suitable for standard distribution boxes. Products are available in multiple pole configurations including 1P, 2P, 3P, and 4P. The terminal protection rating is IP20, while the overall enclosure rating is IP40. Installation features non-polarity wiring requirements, with optional electrical accessories including auxiliary contacts and shunt trips.

What are the phase sequence requirements for installation?

Suntree DC breakers feature a non-polarized design, requiring no distinction between positive and negative terminals during installation – wiring can be done arbitrarily. This greatly simplifies installation in PV systems and energy storage systems, eliminating the risk of equipment failure due to reverse polarity connection.

What are the application scenarios for multi-pole breakers in PV systems?

Suntree 3P/4P 1500VDC breakers are mainly used in large-scale PV power plants, energy storage systems, and DC combiner boxes. 3P models are suitable for three-phase DC systems or applications requiring three independent protection circuits; 4P models are commonly used for main output protection in 1500V PV combiner boxes, capable of simultaneously disconnecting positive/negative terminals and grounding circuits. The 1500VDC system is currently the mainstream configuration for large-scale ground-mounted power plants, effectively reducing line losses and system costs.
